Deliverer I leapt into a void To save you I couldn't see ahead of time I can't see what's through On to the other side. I reached out only to snag darkness Why did you put me through this? When you know I'm afraid of the dark. The hands that grasp mine aren't really there I feel only emptiness I'm holding onto air. God forbid I shut my eyes The hell I'd see I'd never survive. I wake up in the mornin' I fall out of bed I lie on the floor Counting curses in my head. I listen to my brother Screaming down below and the other laughing they're havin' another row. There's not much I can say the only way to getting by is to walk away with life. Hand-in-hand with trouble Walk into walls and now I'm seeing double please don't burst my bubble I'm okay.
